Our Story

“Sometimes, you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”

Dr. Seuss

At My Life in a Book, we believe that every parent's story is unique, important, and deserves to be archived for family members. When you receive your loved one's memories in the form of a keepsake book, you receive an essential part of them that will stay with you forever.

You will learn about their life and the events that took place in it, and remember the lessons they taught you. Their story will allow them to stay in touch with you, no matter the time or distance between you, while preserving their most significant memories.

This is why we've organized our framework around 121 guiding questions, which cover two eras of their life (childhood and adulthood) to help them remember and share their most memorable moments.

Every decision we’ve taken, from the premium materials used, to the personalized covers have had one single aim: to make it easy for your loved one to leave a permanent legacy. We believe this is one of the most meaningful activities a parent can engage in. And you, their children and grandchildren would love to hear their story!

Our Mission

We dream of a world where every parent leaves their life story for future generations. This helps parents be remembered, while empowering their children to treasure their life story and learn from it. And all this leads to deeper connections and stronger family ties in the present. Just imagine a society where each generation is able to learn from the stories of the previous generation
where no one is forgotten, and everyone is remembered. How different would the world be?

The difference would be tremendous. Such a society would progress faster, would honor and respect its past while learning from it to build a better future.

It is therefore to this mission that we devote all our energy. No story, no matter how short, is insignificant. No story is worth losing. All parents should be able to pass on to their children a written record of their lives.

That's why it's never too late to ask your parent or grandparent to share their story with you and allow you to learn about them.

We are there for our parents!

As we grow older, our memories can become blurred and details can fade. That's why we created My Life in a Book to help parents keep track of their memories.

But memory loss is not always just a natural phenomenon of aging. In fact, nearly 5.8 million people in the US suffer from Alzheimer's disease, a neurodegenerative illness that causes irreversible memory decline, confusion and disorientation.

At My Life in a Book, we consider it an integral part of our mission to preserve the memories of each parent for future generations. That's why we donate 1% of our revenue each year to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, to support the fight for research against this disease.
