Family Trip Official Rules

2. Sweepstakes Period

 

Start Date: 12:00:01 AM CET, October 15, 2025 End Date: 11:59:59 PM CET, October 19, 2025 Mail-In Receipt Deadline: 11:59:59 PM CET, October 26, 2025 Drawing Date: November 1, 2025

 

3. Eligibility (The Participating Jurisdictions)

 

Age: Entrants must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence.

Open To: Legal residents of the United States (excluding NY and FL), Canada (excluding Quebec), the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia (excluding mandatory permit states/territories), except where prohibited or restricted by law.

Mandatory Exclusions (VOID in): Due to varying international, state, and provincial laws that require mandatory registration, bonding, or permits for games of chance/sweepstakes, this promotion is VOID in, and not open to residents of:

  • The State of New York, USA.

  • The State of Florida, USA.

  • The Province of Quebec, Canada.

  • The Australian States/Territories of New South Wales (NSW), South Australia (SA), Australian Capital Territory (ACT), and Northern Territory (NT).

  • Any country or territory subject to United States sanctions.

  • Any other jurisdiction where the local law requires the Sponsor to register the Sweepstakes, post a bond, or involve a public official (such as a notary or bailiff) for the drawing or rules filing.

Exclusions: Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their immediate family members (spouse, partner, parents, siblings, children) are not eligible.

Void where Prohibited: The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

 

4. How to Enter (Entry Methods)

 

Entrants must have an active email address to participate.

 

Method A: Purchase Entry

 

During the Sweepstakes Period, entrants who purchase a subscription or product from mylifeinabook.com will automatically receive:

  • One (1) entry for every one dollar ($1.00 USD) spent on eligible products (excluding taxes, shipping, and any applied discounts). The number of entries is calculated based on the net purchase price.

 

Method B: Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE) – Free Entry

 

To enter without purchase, eligible participants must send a legibly hand-written letter via stamped mail to the Sponsor Address:

MLIB, Attn: Family Trip Sweepstakes Entry, 1178 Broadway 3rd Floor #1043 New York, NY 10001, USA.

The mail-in entry must contain:

  1. Your full name and complete mailing address (no P.O. Boxes).

  2. Your email address (required for winner notification).

  3. A statement of intent to participate: "I wish to enter the Family Trip Sweepstakes."

Entry Value: Each properly received and postmarked mail-in entry will receive 100 entries. This ensures the free entry method provides a substantially equal or superior chance of winning compared to the minimum purchase entry.

Postmark/Receipt Deadlines: Mail-in entries must be postmarked by 11:59:59 PM CET, October 19, 2025, and received by 11:59:59 PM CET, October 26, 2025.

Entry Limit: There is a limit of 150 total entries per person, regardless of the entry method used. Any entries submitted or received in excess of this limit will be voided.

 

5. Prize and Approximate Retail Value (ARV)

 

Grand Prize (1 Winner): One (1) digital Hotels.com Gift Card valued at $1000 USD.

Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $1000 USD.

Prize Conditions: The prize is non-transferable, and no cash substitution is permitted, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The winner is subject to the terms and conditions of the Hotels.com Gift Card issuer.

 

6. Winner Selection, Notification, and Obligations

 

Selection: The potential winner will be selected in a random drawing on the Drawing Date from the pool of all eligible entries (from both methods) received during the Sweepstakes Period.

Notification: The potential winner will be notified by the email address used to enter within five (5) days of the drawing.

Winner Requirements: The potential winner must respond within seven (7) days of notification. The potential winner may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and a Publicity Release (where legal) to claim the prize.

Canadian Requirement: If a potential winner is a resident of Canada, they must, as a condition of receiving the prize, correctly answer, without mechanical or other aid, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by the Sponsor or Administrator. Failure to correctly answer the question will result in disqualification.

Disqualification: Failure to comply with these rules (including the Canadian requirement), or if notification is undeliverable, will result in the prize being forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected.

 

7. Taxes and International Requirements

 

Taxes: The winner is solely responsible for any and all federal, state, local, or international taxes, duties, and fees associated with the prize acceptance and use, including any required VAT or import duties. The Sponsor will not pay any taxes, duties, or fees associated with the prize.

Prize Delivery: The prize will be delivered digitally to the confirmed winner's email address.

 

8. General Conditions and Liability

 

By participating, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding.

Entrants agree to release the Sponsor and Sweepstakes Parties from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, or damage arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance/use of the prize.

Publicity Release: By accepting the prize, the winner hereby grants to the Sponsor and its designees the irrevocable right to use and publish their name, social handles, likeness (photographic or simulated), voice, biography, and city/state/province/country of residence for all purposes, including, without limitation, advertising, marketing, promotional, and publicity purposes in connection with this Sweepstakes, in any and all media now or hereafter devised, worldwide, in perpetuity, without any form of notice, permission, or compensation, except for the awarding of the prize. This publicity release is void where prohibited by law and is subject to the privacy laws of the winner's jurisdiction (e.g., in Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand).

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: The Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Entrants waive the ability to bring claims in a class action format and agree that any legal claims shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, USA.

Right to Modify: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend, modify, or terminate the Sweepstakes at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or technical issues.
